October 27, 2026 | Ethical Sports Takes
After a disappointing 4–5 performance Monday night, EST returns with four NBA predictions for Tuesday.
The slate features an Eastern Conference showdown between Detroit and New York, a young San Antonio team looking to continue its strong start, and the Lakers hosting Portland.
Our season record stands at 28–22–2, and we’re looking to get back on track.
Let’s get into tonight’s selections.
1. Brooklyn Nets vs. Boston Celtics
EST Pick: Boston Celtics
Boston enters tonight following an impressive 134–99 victory over Chicago, and we’re backing the Celtics to keep that momentum going.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown give Boston plenty of offensive firepower, while the Celtics’ perimeter shooting presents a difficult matchup for Brooklyn.
The Nets have struggled defensively early in the season, and we expect Boston to take advantage.
Prediction: Boston Celtics win.
2. Detroit Pistons vs. New York Knicks
EST Pick: Detroit Pistons
This could be the most interesting matchup of the evening.
Detroit enters Madison Square Garden following consecutive road victories over Miami and Philadelphia. The Pistons have shown impressive defensive intensity, and their ability to disrupt opposing offenses makes them a dangerous opponent.
New York, meanwhile, is coming off a disappointing home loss to Orlando.
The Knicks have the talent to respond, particularly with Jalen Brunson leading the offense, but Detroit has earned our confidence with its recent performances.
We expect a competitive game, with the Pistons doing enough defensively to secure another road victory.
Prediction: Detroit Pistons win.
3. Sacramento Kings vs. San Antonio Spurs
EST Pick: San Antonio Spurs
San Antonio has started the season strongly, and we’re backing the Spurs to continue building momentum against Sacramento.
Victor Wembanyama’s presence creates problems on both ends of the floor, particularly against teams that struggle to defend the paint.
Sacramento has offensive talent, but containing Wembanyama while keeping San Antonio’s supporting cast under control is a difficult assignment.
With home-court advantage and a strong defensive foundation, we’re taking the Spurs.
Prediction: San Antonio Spurs win.
4. Portland Trail Blazers vs. Los Angeles Lakers
EST Pick: Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers return home after defeating Utah 132–123 on Sunday, and we’re backing Los Angeles to secure another victory.
Portland has shown it can compete offensively, but the Lakers have the experience and scoring options to control this matchup.
Los Angeles must avoid giving Portland easy transition opportunities and remain disciplined defensively.
If the Lakers execute offensively and control the rebounding battle, they should have enough to finish the night with a victory.
Prediction: Los Angeles Lakers win.
EST’s Take
Tuesday offers an opportunity to recover from Monday’s disappointing results.
Boston and San Antonio look like strong selections based on their recent performances, while Detroit represents our most interesting prediction of the evening.
The Pistons have played well on the road, and we’re backing them to carry that momentum into Madison Square Garden.
As for the Lakers, we expect them to handle business at home against Portland.
EST’s October 27 Picks:
- Boston Celtics
- Detroit Pistons
- San Antonio Spurs
- Los Angeles Lakers
Current Season Record: 28–22–2
