EST F1 Predictions — 2026 São Paulo Grand Prix: Mercedes Eyes Constructors’ Crown

Formula 1 heads to Brazil for the São Paulo Grand Prix on November 6–8, bringing the curtain down on an exciting three-race triple-header that has already taken the grid through Austin and Mexico City.

The iconic Interlagos circuit provides the setting for the final chapter of this demanding stretch, with drivers and teams preparing for another fiercely contested weekend.

Kimi Antonelli arrives as the newly crowned Formula 1 World Champion following his third-place finish in Mexico City. However, with the Drivers’ Championship decided, there is still plenty to race for.

Mercedes can clinch the Constructors’ Championship this weekend by outscoring Ferrari by four points, which would give the Silver Arrows an unassailable lead with three races remaining.

Max Verstappen enters Brazil having won three of the previous four Grands Prix, while Lewis Hamilton is searching for his first Grand Prix victory with Ferrari after narrowly missing out in Mexico.

Ethical Sports Takes is backing Hamilton to deliver something special at a circuit that has produced some of the most memorable moments of his career.

EST São Paulo Grand Prix Podium Predictions

P1 — Lewis Hamilton | Ferrari

EST Prediction: Race Winner

We’re backing Lewis Hamilton to win the Brazilian Grand Prix.

In our view, Hamilton should have won the Mexican Grand Prix. Ferrari’s terrible teamwork practically handed the victory to Max Verstappen.

Hamilton had the pace to challenge for the win, but Ferrari’s inability to manage its drivers effectively undermined his opportunity. Instead of maximizing its chances of victory, the team allowed internal competition to compromise the bigger objective.

The result was another missed opportunity for Hamilton, who ultimately finished just 0.799 seconds behind Verstappen.

Ferrari cannot afford to repeat those mistakes in Brazil.

Hamilton’s performance in Mexico demonstrated that he remains capable of competing at the very front of the grid. With better execution from his team, we believe he can take that final step.

Interlagos is also a circuit where Hamilton has enjoyed tremendous success, including his unforgettable 2021 comeback victory.

The seven-time World Champion has a special relationship with Brazilian supporters, and we believe that atmosphere, combined with his improving competitiveness, could inspire another outstanding performance.

Our prediction: Hamilton finally claims his first Grand Prix victory in Ferrari red.

P2 — Max Verstappen | Red Bull Racing

EST Prediction: Second Place

Max Verstappen arrives in Brazil as arguably the most dangerous driver on the grid.

His victory in Mexico was his third in four races, and he has demonstrated an ability to extract results even when circumstances are less than ideal.

Verstappen also possesses an impressive record at Interlagos, where his racecraft and confidence in changing conditions have frequently made him difficult to beat.

We’re expecting another strong performance from the Red Bull driver.

However, after narrowly holding off Hamilton in Mexico, we believe the positions could be reversed this weekend.

Our prediction: Verstappen finishes second after another closely contested battle.

P3 — George Russell | Mercedes

EST Prediction: Third Place

George Russell endured a frustrating Mexican Grand Prix, finishing sixth after technical difficulties compromised his opening lap.

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff acknowledged that the team had let Russell down, with an energy deployment issue undermining what could have been a much stronger result.

We expect Russell to respond in Brazil.

While teammate Kimi Antonelli has captured the Drivers’ Championship, Russell has an opportunity to help Mercedes secure the Constructors’ Championship.

The Silver Arrows need to outscore Ferrari by four points this weekend to guarantee the title outright, making every position crucial.

Interlagos also holds positive memories for Russell, who secured his maiden Formula 1 Grand Prix victory at the circuit in 2022.

We’re backing the Mercedes driver to return to the podium and deliver a valuable result for his team.

Our prediction: Russell claims third place and gives Mercedes another top-three finish.

Mercedes Could Clinch the Constructors’ Championship

Although Antonelli has already secured the Drivers’ Championship, Mercedes still has unfinished business.

The Silver Arrows arrive in Brazil with 630 points, holding a commanding 126-point advantage over Ferrari, which sits second with 504 points.

With three races remaining after Interlagos, a maximum of 129 points will still be available to a constructor.

That means Mercedes can mathematically secure the championship outright by finishing the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend at least 130 points ahead of Ferrari.

Simply put, Mercedes needs to outscore Ferrari by four points in Brazil to guarantee the Constructors’ Championship.

Both Antonelli and Russell will have important roles to play. Strong performances from both drivers could allow Mercedes to celebrate a championship double just one week after Antonelli’s historic triumph in Mexico.

However, Ferrari has shown improved competitiveness in recent races, and its drivers will be determined to delay Mercedes’ celebrations.

Why Interlagos Could Deliver a Thriller

The 4.309-kilometre Interlagos circuit features elevation changes, demanding corners and overtaking opportunities, particularly through the opening Senna S section.

Its unpredictable weather has also contributed to some of Formula 1’s most dramatic races.

As the final stop of the Austin–Mexico City–São Paulo triple-header, Brazil presents another demanding test for drivers and teams who have spent three consecutive weekends competing.

With Verstappen in excellent form, Ferrari showing improved competitiveness and Mercedes potentially racing for the Constructors’ Championship, there are several compelling storylines.

The Drivers’ Championship may be settled, but the battle for individual victories and the Constructors’ crown is far from over.

EST Final Verdict

Our official São Paulo Grand Prix podium predictions are:

P1 — Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari)

P2 — Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing)

P3 — George Russell (Mercedes)

We’re making a bold call by selecting Hamilton over the in-form Verstappen.

After watching Ferrari squander what we believe should have been a victory in Mexico, we’re backing Hamilton to respond in Brazil.

Meanwhile, Mercedes has the opportunity to complete a remarkable championship double by securing the Constructors’ title.

The stakes remain high, even with the Drivers’ Championship already decided.

Interlagos has witnessed Hamilton magic before. We’re backing him to deliver it again.
