EST’s Take
The Warriors continue demonstrating their ability to overcome adversity.
Golden State trailed by 17 points, lost Draymond Green to an ejection, and struggled offensively for much of the first half. Yet Curry’s extraordinary third-quarter performance completely changed the direction of the game.
His 18-point explosion was the decisive individual performance, but the supporting cast deserves considerable recognition.
Bassey’s 19 points and eight rebounds were particularly valuable, while Podziemski and Niang provided timely scoring.
For Phoenix, this defeat represents another missed opportunity.
The Suns controlled much of the first half and still had opportunities to win late, but their seven fourth-quarter turnovers and inconsistent free-throw shooting proved costly.
Booker’s 26 points and Bridges’ 21 weren’t enough to prevent a third consecutive defeat.
Golden State improves to 5-3 with its fifth straight victory, while Phoenix falls to 1-4.
